HawkEye 360 is seeking a Vice-President of US Government Business Development and Sales. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), this executive is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve HawkEye 360’s revenue targets.  In this role, the executive will build and manage the US Government business development and sales team and associated activities to realize the company’s revenue objectives.  This role requires active engagement with clients to create and mature opportunities working with your team and stakeholders across the company.


As the Vice President, US Government Business Development & Sales, your main responsibilities will be:
  • Engage with senior U.S. Government officials who oversee the allocation of agency, operational, and tactical budgetary resources to support the collection and analysis of geospatial data for Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance (ISR) missions with a particular focus on RF
  • Recruit and develop a high performing team to achieve revenue and booking results
  • Deliver high-quality artifacts in support of internal sales forecasting and reporting
  • Each month, maintain an equal balance between external sales efforts and internal team coaching, while also addressing HawkEye reporting requirements
  • Establish the teams SMART goals and conduct constructive performance evaluations
  • Maintain and grow the sales pipeline to achieve revenue objectives
  • Identify, qualify, shape, and win strategically relevant business opportunities
  • Participate in the development and review of proposals to drive a high pWin
  • Understand the customer’s mission to inform compelling solutions that win their business and drive new business success in adjacent markets
  • Maintain & develop trusted customer relationships that enable customer mission and company success
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and account plans to achieve revenue targets and drive sustained business growth
  • Execute a structured sales and revenue forecasting process that provides accurate and timely forecast information to company stakeholders
  • Assess competitor capabilities and continually influence our business and product strategies to ensure market leadership
  • Provide inputs to company leadership on the firm's product roadmap, priorities, and pricing, given customer needs and competitive efforts
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade association meetings, and other events as necessary to penetrate new accounts, identify new customers, and win current pursuits.
  • Develop and manage operating budgets for the team
  • Work collaboratively with other company functions including finance, legal, engineering, and product development
  • Reinforce by example, the company’s commitment to its values, including integrity and compliance
Your skills and qualifications:
Essential education and experience:
  • 12+ years of USG business development/sales experience with a demonstrated record of revenue generation success, particularly in the defense and intelligence market
  • Strong Relationships with U.S. Government officials who are responsible for the collection and analysis of geospatial data for Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance (ISR) missions with a particular focus on RF
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a sales strategy aligned to company priorities to drive customer success and target business results
  • Experience building and managing a team that achieves revenue objectives
  • Demonstrated experience in developing new business opportunities and successfully managing the entire Business Development and Capture life-cycle
  • Highly desired RF operational domain experience, i.e., ELINT, Electronic Warfare
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical capabilities and apply them to customer problem sets in the federal market. A track record of developing/maintaining customer relationships, understanding customer challenges, creating solutions, and closing business deals
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with federal government customers and partners to win contracts and task orders
  • Experience collaborating with customers to develop use cases that are satisfied with RF or geo-spatial information data and analytics solutions, RF preferred.
Security Clearance
  • Active TS/SCI required; Current CI Poly preferred.
Desirable:
  • Strong relationships with key defense and intelligence clients and a good understanding of their acquisition lifecycle and programs in order to drive sales success
  • General understanding of radio frequency (RF) technology, data, and GEOINT
  • Experience developing and presenting compelling sales presentations/responses
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering or business-related discipline; a master’s degree is a plus, or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence others without formal authority
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated; self-starter; accountable for delivering results
​​​​​​Base Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 annually

HawkEye 360 offers a compensation package that includes a competitive base salary plus commissions and benefits. We consider many factors when determining salary offers, such as candidate's work experience, education, training & skills, as well as market and business considerations. We are also open to considering candidates with experience and qualifications at a different level than required in a job posting, which may affect the compensation package offered.
