Description
As an Associate Frontend Software Engineer on the Software Applications (Apps) team, you will help design, build, and maintain critical frontend systems that support HawkEye 360's mission. You will design and implement scalable solutions to interface with satellite scheduling algorithms, customer management systems, and data delivery platforms. This is a high-impact role where your contributions will directly affect our operational efficiency and customer success.

As the Associate Frontend Software Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
- Build, test, and maintain responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Work with Angular and React to develop and enhance web applications
- Create dynamic features including forms, pagination, and component-driven UIs.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality user experiences
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and cross-functional team discussions
- Use Git for version control and participate in agile development workflows
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to technical planning and prioritization
Essential education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 2–4 years of professional front-end development experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Hands-on experience with Angular, React, or both.
- Familiarity with building and validating interactive forms, implementing pagination, and lazy loading data.
- Familiarity with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
- Experience using Git and working within collaborative development environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with full-stack web application development with a focus on Web development.
- Experience with component libraries like angular material and experience with CSS frameworks like bootstrap or tailwindcss.
- 2 or more years of professional experience with modern Angular.
- 1 or more years personal or professional experience with react, svelte, or vuejs.
- Familiarity with RxJs and state management libraries like NgRx or NGXS.
- Hands on experience with Webpack or other JavaScript Module Bundlers.
- Some experience with building Geospatial Web Applications using mapbox, cesium, google maps in addition to interest or experience with WebGL libraries.
- Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) with a basic understanding EC2 and RDS.
- An understanding of Virtualization versus Containerization with hands on experience with one or more of KVM, Virtual Box, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, ISTIO.
- Polyglot programming and framework skills (JavaScript, Java, Python, Go, C, Spring, SpringBoot, OCI, K8S)
