HawkEye 360 is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Engineering Operations team. The mission of the Engineering Operations group is to translate the company’s strategic goals into tactical objectives, and to manage the execution of these objectives. The Operations group provides systems engineering and program management support across the entire company and is responsible for the successful completion of internal and external projects. The Engineering Operations team derives and tracks requirements for customer and supplier contracts and ensures that the necessary resources are prioritized and applied to keep contracts on time and on budget.

The Systems Engineer will support the development of the company’s next-generation signal processing and data analytics capabilities by providing technical guidance for developers and technical team leads and will provide technical support for the business development team in proposing and capturing new work. The Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering Operations and interface with directors and engineers on the signal processing, analytics, space, and product teams.

We’ll Expect You To…

  • Own requirements generation and tracking for major company projects.
  • Create schedules and team tasking plans; effectively communicate needs and expectations to successfully execute that plan.
  • Track key financial and programmatic milestones for major programs, identify risks to on-time and on-budget delivery, and work with engineering leadership to mitigate and resolve these risks.
  • Support the development of new business by providing technical contributions to proposals, white papers, and presentations.
  • Support, and potentially own, the proposal response process for large USG procurement.
  • Support the Processing team in development and testing of new signal processing algorithms and the continuous delivery of improved software.
  • Support the Analytics team in agile development of cutting-edge data science and software engineering tools.
  • You’ll Need to Have…
  • 5+ years professional experience.
  • M.S. or B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • Particularly strong work experience in systems engineering or program management that may be deemed equivalent for candidates with alternative degrees.
  • Demonstrated effective management of requirements and deliverables for complex engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated success in leading or supporting multidisciplinary project teams executing to a set time and budget.
  • Effective experience with computational problem-solving methods and modeling using some combination of Python, C/C++, Matlab, STK, etc.
  • Experience in digital signal processing theory and applications, and/or experience in data analytics platforms or cloud-based analytic pipelines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Current TS/SCI clearance.
  • Demonstrated history of successful proposal development and process management.
  • Knowledgeable of FAR/DFAR requirements.
