Description
HawkEye 360 is seeking a Signals Analyst to join the Solutions team. The Solutions team is responsible for developing high-impact solutions to grow anchor customer accounts and win new business opportunities pursued by our Sales team. This position requires technical signals intelligence experience using I/Q data and analyzing new or unknown signals. The role will work closely with engineering and solutions to discover and automate the detection and characterization of high-impact signals. The position focuses on communications signals for both international and US-based defense and intelligence communities.
Location & Travel: This position is based in Herndon, Virginia.

Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $145,000 annually

As the Signals Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:
- Dive deep into HE360 archive I/Q data to discover new signals that have relevance to customer missions.
- Characterize signals accurately in terms of modulation type, frequency, bandwidth, symbol rate, start/end bit sequences, etc.
- Work with engineering team to automate detectors of signals and tooling for better discovery of new signals.
- Continue to learn and make recommendations to improve internal tooling, systems, and algorithms.
- Reinforce by example the company’s commitment to its values.
Essential education and experience:
- 4+ years’ experience with technical signals intelligence.
- Bachelor's in electrical engineering, digital signal processing, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of radio frequency (RF) technologies, digital signal processing, signal analysis and applications.
- Ability to determine modulation types, symbol rates, and other key characteristics of signals required for characterization of the signal.
- Technical experience working with communication signals (e.g. DMR, TETRA, P25, FM/AM Analog, SATCOM) and other signals (e.g. UAV uplink, GPS jammers).
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical capabilities to solve customer problems.
- Self-motivated; self-starter; accountable for delivering results
- Experience using GIS platforms and with synthesizing/presenting geospatial data.
- ELINT knowledge and hands-on experience characterizing radar signals.
- Geolocation experience from ground/airborne/space based systems and understanding of TDOA and FDOA
